Incoming Freshman Scholarship Opportunities

Diocesan High School Placement Test Scholarships These scholarships are awarded to any 8th grader that takes the HSPT at Covington Catholic High School and earns a score that places him among the top 10% of all test takers at CCH. To be eligible for this scholarship, an eighth grader must be a registered member of a parish in the Diocese of Covington and he must take the HSPT on the designated Saturday in December as determined by the Diocese of Covington. Students enrolled in CCH’s feeder schools-St. Pius, St. Joseph (Crescent Springs), St. Agnes, Blessed Sacrament and Prince of Peace School- will automatically be mailed HSPT information in November. Any student attending another grade school may also take the HSPT at CCH but they should contact Mr. Barczak in the Guidance Department to receive HSPT registration information.

Work Study Scholarship Opportunities

Covington Catholic is blessed to have over 100 named endowments that provide a perpetual source of funding and support current and future generations of Colonels. These scholarships are available to any student who has been approved for tuition assistance and enrolled in the work study program. Applications are emailed to eligible students by mid to late May and are due back by mid-June. The recipients are selected by a committee and are chosen based on financial need, strong work ethic, involvement, and determination to succeed at the highest level possible at CCH. Awarded scholarships will reduce the number of work study hours required for the recipient.

Other Scholarship Opportunities

Throughout the school year additional scholarship opportunities may be available based on specific criteria. Eligible students will be notified in a variety of ways including through email, their teacher, the counseling department, etc.

Senior Scholarships Awarded at Graduation

Several scholarships are given out at the Baccalaureate Luncheon on Graduation day.  Some of these are merit based and will be chosen by the faculty, others have an application process that will be communicated through the Senior Counselor.
