Bass Fishing
Bass Fishing has been a KHSAA sanctioned sport since 2019. The Bass Fishing season, weather permitting, begins around February 1st and lasts until May. Competitions are held primarily on Lake Cumberland, and many other lakes throughout Kentucky. The KHSAA State Tournament is a two-day event on Kentucky Lake. Team practices are held mostly indoors and focus on casting, lure presentation and knot tying. The rules, regulations and type of equipment used is based on the Student Angler Federation. SAF rules and protocols are followed during tournaments. Bass Fishing is a no-cut sport and open to anyone who is committed to the team.
